The Maggie-shelter

In 2015 Vermako was contacted by the architectural company DMOA from Heverlee(Belgium) with a question to help develop a tent of 100 m². The project named “Maggie” is a shelter with the characteristics of a permanent home (roof and wall insulation, floor-loading capacity 300 kg/m², …), lifetime 15 years. The company Vervaeke from Ruiselede also helped during the development and supplies the cloths.

In Cameroon a pair of Maggies were built, currently serving as dormitory rooms/boarding school for school children and there is also a Maggie-shelter at Fedasil in Steenokkerzeel, Belgium.
